Dr. Teighen McLeod, Chiropractor
Teighen was born and raised in Calgary, playing all sports under the sun and on the snow. Her passion for activity and fascination of what the body was capable is what motivated her to study at the University of Calgary, graduating with a Bachelors of Kinesiology. She didn’t discover chiropractic until undergrad when she sought treatment for headaches upon recommendation from others. Although skeptical at first, she was impressed how helpful treatment was and after shadowing several chiropractors she decided it was the perfect blend of her interests and helping others.
Teighen graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and has since practiced in Calgary working with all ages from newborns to late 90s. She thoroughly enjoys working with everyone, however found it particularly rewarding working with pre and post natal women to ease the pains associated with changes during and after pregnancy, as well as the resilient (and adorable) little ones. Her keen interest in the pregnancy and pediatric population lead her to pursue additional education in the field. She is a member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), and trained in Webster technique.
Teighen uses hands-on techniques and patient education in order to treat the injured area, address the underlying causes and optimize wellness. Treatments are modified, gentle and individual based on your preferences, the concern or injury, and previous experiences.
Dr. Amy Graf, Chiropractor
Dr. Amy Graf has always valued family relationships. Growing up in Northwest Calgary she spent a lot of time skiing, hiking, and camping with her family. She has always enjoyed being active and promoting health and wellness.
After completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary she pursued her dream of becoming a Chiropractor. Dr. Amy graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, in San Jose, California, where she discovered her passion for treating growing families. She is a member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), and has acquired her Webster Technique certification, which is a specific analysis and adjustment to reduce joint dysfunction and restore proper neuro-biomechanical function in pregnant patients.
Dr. Amy understands that injuries can be frustrating and it is her goal to get moms back to feeling their best. Whether you want to pick up your kids or your laundry basket without pain, or perhaps you’re interested in getting your stride back in the sports you love, Dr. Amy is able to help using a variety of techniques ranging from low-force instrument/table assisted to gentle manual adjustments. For pediatric patients, a gentle mobilization using a fingertip pressure is all that’s needed.
In her spare time, Dr. Amy loves to escape to the mountains whenever she can. She particularly enjoys skiing, hiking, spin classes and travelling. Spending quality time with her husband Kevin and their families is cherished above all.
